POETRY: IN LOCKDOWN
in the garden of bones
I have a garden
for my bones
I nurture them
when I’m alone
they push through earth
like mother’s flesh
I love my garden
I am blessed
I hear them shiver
in the rain
they talk of life
that dreams again
I hear their whispers
in the trees
I have sinned
but I have pleased
though blood must flow
in the birthing hour
I am loved
I will watch them flower

Panthera tigris.
A little solitary – happy when not sad.
Likes: black coffee,
dark chocolate, and someone.
Dislikes: white coffee, white
chocolate, and no one.
